These terms govern your use of peekabooks.com and any purchase you make from Peekabooks Inc., a company incorporated in Canada.
Orders and prices
All prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD) and exclude tax, which is calculated at checkout based on the province your order ships to. Placing an order is an offer to buy; our acceptance happens when we confirm payment. If we can't fulfil an order — for example, an item is out of stock — we'll cancel it and refund you in full.
We may change prices at any time. A price change never affects an order you've already placed, and existing subscribers keep the price they signed up at unless we tell them otherwise in advance.
Subscriptions
Subscription plans renew automatically — monthly plans every month, three-month plans every three months — using the payment method on file, until you cancel. You can cancel any time from My Account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and that final box still ships.
The specific titles in each box are chosen by us and will vary. We select books appropriate to the age group you choose, but we can't guarantee any particular title.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we'll retry it over the following days and email you. If it still fails, the subscription is cancelled and no further boxes ship.
Gift boxes
Gift boxes are one-time purchases and do not renew. The buyer is responsible for providing a correct recipient address.
Promotional codes
Discount codes apply to the first payment only unless stated otherwise, can't be combined, and have no cash value. We may withdraw a code at any time.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.
Acceptable use
Don't use the site unlawfully, don't attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it, and don't resell our boxes as your own.
Our content
The Peekabooks name, logo, site design, and written content are ours. Book covers and titles belong to their publishers and authors.
Liability
We provide the site and boxes with reasonable care. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date below shows the current version. Material changes affecting subscribers will be emailed in advance.
