Little Moons

A graphic novel for young adults about the experience of a family member going missing and the grief of those left behind. A thirteen-year-old girl grieving her missing older sister learns to find comfort through Ojibwe (Indigenous) traditions and to accept her mother’s way of grieving. Examines loss, grief, and the challenge of moving on without closure. Author has first-hand experiences of grief and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S) Author has contributed to the best selling graphic novel anthology, This Place. Her YA graphic novel, Fire Starters was selected as an American Indian Youth Literature Award (AIYLA) Honor Book Author was a recipient for the CBC Manitoba’s Future 40 Under 40
