Grace Díaz is a writer, educator, partner, mother, and lifelong lover of languages. At age twelve, she taught herself Uzbek and Russian. At age 26, she decided to learn Spanish, and along the way she created a beautiful bilingual family, with a foot in Minnesota, and the other in Morelos, Mexico. She is currently a middle-school social studies teacher in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she is daily reminded of the tenacity and talents of all multilingual children, including her own.
