16 1/2 on the Block

The one and only Latina Smith is back on the block, and she’s come a long way from her freshman year at Cass High School. Where Latina once played back-up in a four member clique, she’s not only joined an entirely new crew, but she’s made her way to the forefront of the new clique that has taken Cass High School by storm.

Latina and her girls Asia and Gena think they’re untouchable. They have it all: the looks, the brains, the boys, and thanks to Asia being spoiled rotten, they even roll in the most expensive ride at school. They’re living a life envied by most of the teenage girls around them.

What those other girls don’t know is that outside of school, Latina’s life is anything but easy. Her mother’s drug addiction is tearing their family apart, and Latina wants nothing more than to get out of Detroit’s projects. When she gets caught in a web of haters, thieves, and schemes, her life takes a turn for the worse, and now no one would ever want to trade places with her. She has twenty-four hours to save her own life. Will she prevail, or will she fail?
